The Read-In is sponsored by Carroll County Public Schools,
Carroll County Public Library, the Carroll County Arts Council, and the Carroll
County Branch of the NAACP. The event is free and open to the public. No
tickets are required. A reception with jazz music will be held from 6:30 to
7:00 p.m. Readings and performances of African American literature will be
presented from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. Our mission is to ensure the political, educational, social, and economic equality of rights of all persons and to eliminate racial hatred and racial discrimination. Our vision is to ensure a society in which all individuals have equal rights and there is no racial hatred or racial discrimination.
